Earth Day [& The Ecology Center Collaboration]

Photobucket

We're teaming up with Patagonia Footwear's Advocate program once again to promote and fundraise for The Ecology Center! Located in San Juan Capistrano, California, The Ecology Center provides the community with solution-based education to inspire ecologically sound solutions at the household and community level.

Join them for Earth Day, April 16th for a full day of eco-education fun! For some, Earth Day is about doing less, but for The Ecology Center it's about doing more. The day will include a very special veggie seedling sale of organic heirloom varieties, FREE DIY garden workshops, DIY kits, an assortment of food trucks and more.

Following Earth Day, join SEED for our Advocate Weeks and Patagonia will donate $10 to The Ecology Center for every pair of Patagonia Footwear you purchase

Stay tuned for more information on the closing party you won't want to miss!

The Ecology Center

[Built in 1878, their house is the oldest wooden structure in San Juan Capistrano]

The Ecology Center, in San Juan Capistrano, is an exciting new educational center, whose purpose is to engage the entire family in fun, hands-on activities that teach practical, environmental solutions at the household and community level. If you've been in the store recently, you might have noticed their pop-up store displaying a number of goodies including their apprentice pack and their book Backyard Skills. We were lucky enough to take a little visit this week and man we were blown away. Though the pictures do no justice, we did our best to capture it's aura of beauty to share with our readers. Enjoy!

A secret bit of exclusively info for our blog readers.. we'll be doing a collaboration with The Ecology Center in April! Stay tuned for more details!
